Genital Warts Treatment
Genital warts treatment usually talks about how to remove the genital warts instead of really curing the cause itself, which is the human papillomavirus (HPV). Still, many people are more interested in genital warts treatment itself and not going straight to the virus. However, it will all change when people know that treatment of the genital warts itself is not enough because the genital warts might resurface after a few months as the virus itself has not been eradicated completely. Usually after the treatment, HPV will only remain inactive and may resurface after a period of time. Because of that, genital warts treatment has to be repeated until the warts are completely gone.
Genital Warts Cure

Genital warts cure is more to eliminating patients’ worries on genital warts effects on their sexual life and pregnancy. Because of that, genital warts tend to make a comeback after a few months. We will go through the genital warts cure one by one. There is one common treatment which is called Cryosurgery. Cryosurgery is a treatment where extreme cold is used to freeze the warts off. Extreme cold causes ice crystals to form inside the warts which literally tear them apart. Sometimes blisters may form but they usually peel off after a certain period. Cryosurgery treatment normally uses liquid nitrogen as the solution and are sprayed or just swabbed on the warts. This method usually works as it is also used to treat cancers such as liver cancer and prostate cancer.
Another method of genital warts treatment is Electrocautery. Electrocautery is just the opposite of cryosurgery as it works by burning off the genital warts using a small probe with electricity running through it. The current then heats up the needle which us out on the warts, basically burning them away. If there are many genital warts to be cured, general anaesthetics may be used to numb the patients because of severe pain that maybe felt. After the treatment, the warts will look white as they have become dead skins. The doctor will then remove the dead skins.
Lastly, normal surgery can also be done as genital warts treatment. It is very basic as genital warts are cut off with a scalpel. During surgery, local anaesthetic will be applied to numb the area around the genital warts. After the surgery, scarring may occur as all surgeries do. Normal activities can be resumed after one week. Still, some side effects may occur which require you to consult your doctor and that is when you have a severe pain, a fever or chills and also have foul smelling discharge as they may indicate an infection. All the treatments mentioned above are done professionally inside the doctor’s office or the hospital. After the surgery, do not expect and immediate healing as genital warts may reappear after a few months as the treatments above only kills the genital warts and not the virus which cause it.
