Although there are various methods to remove the genital warts, one has to remember that only the genital warts will be exterminated but not the virus that causes the genital warts itself, which is the human papillomavirus (HPV). Then, the probe will be charged with electric current and the needles will then be put on the genital warts. The needles will heat up and burns off the genital warts. It is claimed that electrocautery is very effective in removing the genital warts and warts are also less likely to return after treatment. Still, there is no prefect guarantee that the genital warts will not return. More likely, the virus becomes inactive and warts will only appear an extensive period.

Most common removal method is through surgical method. It is the same like every surgical procedure where genital warts are cut off and new skin is left to grow after that. However, scarring may occur. Furthermore, as the genital warts are removed through excision and blood is involved, infection may occur and complications may happen after surgery such as painful urinations, fever or shaking chills and foul smelling discharge during urination or from the vagina.
